By Abe Tuggie

You can get excellent results when you know the secret to writing superb headlines. Most marketers who aren't able to write those profit pulling headlines simply aren't trying to. Read this to find out all about writing headlines that deliver conversions.

Start by figuring out the things that will convince you to by whatever you are selling This procedure is necessary in coming up with a headline that is unique while creating a valid selling point. Take a closer look at your product, find out how it differs from the competition, and then see how these differences will convince you to buy the product. Try coming up with a headline based on the information that you got in the previous step. If you did this correctly, anyone that checks out your headline should immediately know what makes your product desirable. The length of your headline is a subject of discussion, but the thumb rule is that your headline shouldn't be so long that it becomes a paragraph, and at the same time it shouldn't be so short that it isn't able to convey the main point across. It is all about finding that right balance where every word stays on topic so it is easy to understand. This rule applies to all headlines in general but don't let the length of the headline restrict your creativity. One easy trick is to write the headline as you see fit and then adjust it afterwards so it better fits the rule.

Make sure your readers can believe your headline. You'll only lose your audience with headlines that are impossible to believe. Your audience will see through your attempts to make claims that are less than true. This is a good reason to make sure your headlines are completely honest. When somebody reads your headline for the first time, they shouldn't feel it's fake or unreal; make sure every word you put in your headline lives up to what you're going to say throughout your copy. This is what will get your headline noticed.

Look around to see what everybody is doing. Then do something totally different in order to stick out. When somebody reads your headline, they shouldn't get a feeling that they've been through it before. Be as creative as possible to delivery your message to your prospects.

Last, if your product is providing something new or improved, then make sure that your headline says this. A killer headline is not just about finding the right words to create your headline. But, it is also knowing what to say. Alerting your prospects that your product is a newer version or better will probably make them want to continue reading the whole article. Since they know that they can expect something different, they will want to read further to get all of the information. All in all, from the above article it becomes clear that in order to carve out unique headlines that get the attention of your target audience, you have to go beyond the traditional and make your prospects feel that your product/service is what they have been looking for.
